pretty maps

I found these maps on 20x200 a while back, they are so so pretty. Their name "Pretty Maps" is very fitting. But only recently found out they're not only beautiful prints that could be hanging on my walls, it's an interactive map designed by Aaron Straup Cope from Steman Design. You can go to prettymaps.stamen.com and search a certain city and see what it looks like pretty!
Maps above are the prints from 20x200 :: LA, SFBA, NYC & Paris

These past couple weeks and upcoming months, I will be very busy preparing for my senior show. A good dose of coffee and Netflix helps me make it through, folding and gluing 90+ triangles a day. Between work and freelance, it can become exhausting. I just have to keep my mind on the final product.
Images from my studio, which gets pretty messy by the end of the day...

Oh my. I love Wikstenmade. Wiksten was the last name of artist Jenny Gordy's swedish grandmother who taught her to sew. Yes, she sews everything herself. So beautiful.
Fall

Because fall is my favorite time of the year (the colors & layers!) and searching the internet for fall picks, takes care of my urge to shop.

I read this quote a while back when Ellie of Mint posted it, but sometimes you need to read things twice and have a certain part highlighted by Sarah of Design Management to have it really make it's mark on you.
