Behance Find : Dwell

I've recently joined Behance because I continually find amazing design work there. I feel like Behance was one of those things you joined back during Undergrad but I never got into it. I really feel like it's a great place to find really mature and wise design work because not only is it filled with great designers, but some of the bigger design agencies display their work on it. Go get inspired! 

This project, by Yi Xiang Lim, is an identity and layout design pitch for Dwell, a travel guide to coastal cities. I seriously wish I could get my hands on it. Not only am I loving it's identity, but the layouts, colors, and textures look so great. I'm also a big fan of mixing textures, I think it really adds to the experience of flipping through the magazine. Check out more images from the project on Behance. 

Passport

Really loving this brand identity for design bureau, Passport. The colors are so engaging. You really can't go wrong when pairing neutrals like kraft, nude and cream with any kind of color, but this indigo, violet color is really amazing. This is also a really great example of how beneficial one stamp can be for various print materials. 

Twitter Calligraphy

I'm freaking out about how awesome this project is. 

Dave Foster, announced on Twitter he was going to write out the names of anyone who followed him until he reached one thousand followers. And those followers of course came a lot faster than he would've thought. Here are just three of of the thirty five!

I'm a big fan of these graphics + photo pairings of this shoot, by design group, Beetroot. I'm always drawn to illustration/design paired with fashion and Beetroot really created some beautiful images for Access' Spring/Summer 2011 fashion book.

Of A Kind

Are you subscribed to Of A Kind? It's not just another shopping subscription site, it's filled with beautifully curated pieces with a limited number of editions. I love opening their emails and checking out the newest pieces. I think what stands out most to me are the beautiful images of the pieces - it makes the curation perfectly cohesive. 

Brook&Lyn

I'm a big fan of textiles, and these beautiful weavings by Brook&Lyn. All the textures, colors, and patterns are so perfect. Wouldn't mind having one of these hanging on a wall in our place! 

Jenny Pennywood

Feeling really inspired by these beautiful, raw patterns by Jenny Pennywood. Head over and check out the rest of her work. It's all, really stunning.

Golden Pines Paper Shop

I'm excited to share the launch of Golden Pines Paper Shop with you! Alex Choura and Erin Vaughan started Golden Pines when they merged their talents together. Alex, her hand drawn type and Erin with her whimsical illustrations. I went to school with Alex and Erin and helped create their first line just in time for Halloween! Be sure to hop over and get some of these limited quantity cards before they're gone!

Crossover Festival

A beautiful collaboration between Jonathan Finch and Stephanie Oglesby, creating branding for a festival for creative professionals. I love the play on the festival's name.

You also can't go wrong with neutrals and neons.

Lauren Moffatt Swim

Feel so inspired by Lauren Moffatt's new swim line -- rich with colors, textures, patterns, shapes. So beautifully done. Makes my pattern obsessed heart flutter.

Oat Creative : Bondir

I have been coming across so many amazing branding jobs lately that have been so inspiring and beautiful. Oat Creative did an impressive job for Bondir -- the raw hand drawn type mixed with the delicate classic type and design elements, is so gorgeous. I'm a big fan of mixing exactly that.

She Was Only

Beautiful branding job by UK based design agency, She Was Only, for photography studio, Motel. 

The typeface Motel combined with the various paper types and textures is so perfectly executed.  

Weekend!

These images by Maison Gray are so gorgeous. 

I've always loved the beach, people come together to this one place with their umbrellas, chairs and towels but everyone keeps a safe distance from each other -- it's an unwritten rule of personal space. And Maison captured this beautifully with all those shapes and colors. 

It's almost the weekend -- which I'm super stoked about because it's my birthday weekend!

Caroline Morris: Urban Seed

Caroline Morris did a killer job on this project for her senior thesis. 

The type is well executed. And the white space is spot on.

Identity for Maeven by Lotta Nieminen

I'm a big fan of Lotta Nieminen's illustrative work (see this post) and now that Lotta recently redid her website (which alone is killer) and updated her work I've gotten a peak into more of her design work and I'm blown away. Especially the work she did for Maeven, so beautiful.

Present & Correct

Love these little beauties from Present & Correct. 

The use of bold shapes, patterns and color are right on.
