With my Senior Show coming closer I'm always trying to find inspiration. It keeps my ideas fresh and helps me work out any kinks I may have. Here are a couple things I found recently.

ART DEPARTMENT

This past semester I worked with Alex Goedhart, Emily Okada and John Choura on this Look Poster for Biola's Art Department. It's a folded poster that gets sent to incoming students requesting more information on the Art Department. We wanted something that would get incoming freshmen excited and would hopefully use it as an actual poster, not just a pamphlet.

SPACES

I love looking at other people's spaces. There is so much inspiration to be had: color, shape, light, texture, etc. Not usually the ones that are perfect, but the ones that show that people live and work there.

VACATION

This week we are on vacation at the beach. A little rest and relaxation goes a  l o n g  way (and some Vitamin D helps too).

PLURABELLE

Calligraphy has become one of those things that I'm itching to learn. I've attempted tackling it myself but I'm missing something because I can never get anything quite like the real thing.

A while back I started these Type Experiments as a personal exercise. I hadn't done one in a while and had the urge to be creative. Thus far, the quotes have all come from Ellen Lupton's "Thinking with Type."
